U. S. Government Web Sites
The US Census Bureau
(
www.census.gov
) provides extensive information on various topics, including economic and population (income, occupation, projections). In many cases this data is available at the local level.
The US Bureau of Economic Analysis
(
www.bea.gov
) has national and regional data. The regional data includes personal income, employment, wages, and industries.
The US Department of Labor
(
www.bls.gov
) also contains national and local data. This source is often more detailed, with information such as wages by area and occupation, earnings by industry, employment costs, characteristics of the labor force, unemployment, and employment projections.
For other information, look at FirstGov.gov (
www.firstgov.gov
) which is billed as "The U.S. Government's Official Web Portal." This site, for example, can lead you to agency websites which list funding opportunities.
New Mexico Government Web Sites
